Arrive at the charming coastal resort of Le Verdon-sur-Mer, sitting at the northernmost end of the Médoc peninsula in south-west France. Enjoy the town's two Blue Flag beaches — Plage Saint-Nicolas and Plage de la Chambrette — perfect for sunbathing and a paddle in the waves.

Stroll into the town centre and admire the 19th-century Church of Notre-Dame du Bon Secours et de Saint-Louis. Pay a visit to the magnificent 68-metre-high Cordouan Lighthouse — a white Renaissance-style beacon — and climb its 311-step staircase to the top for sweeping views.
